Governors

Jason is an Old Worksopian and past Chairman of the OWs. His father, uncle, brother and cousins all attended Worksop College. He is a Chartered Surveyor, and Managing Director of the Barnsdales Group of Companies based in Doncaster. He has significant property development, asset management, property management and investment experience across all property sectors. For 7 years he was previously head of retail at London based property and investment group Warner Estate Holdings a FTSE 250 PLC.

Jason has been given the Freedom of the City of London and admitted to the Livery of The Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors of the City of London.

His interests include vintage/classic cars, motor sport and country pursuits.

Having worked successfully in the IT Industry for 25 years, in both Regional and Global board level roles, Tim is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Experian UK&I. Throughout his career, Tim has received a number of accolades,  more recently being recognised as the CTO of the Year, 2021 at the Digital Technology Leaders Awards, whilst has also appeared in several Global Magazines*, where he talks about his journey, offers valuable insights to those starting their careers whilst always recognising the importance of ‘people’ which in a world of technology, remains, his number 1 ‘asset’. “Technology without Talent is unrealised potential”.

Renowned in the Industry for effecting organisational change at scale, harnessing resources, overcoming complex challenges and comprehensive stakeholder management, he also has a passion for early careers and often can be found sponsoring Women in Tech programmes whilst is a strong advocate for DEI.

Football mad, married and with a child at Worksop College, Tim is passionate about the direction of the school, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the governing body. 

Kumar is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He is the lead in colposcopy, urogynaecology and undergraduate teaching in Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield.

Married to Jocelyn, Kumar is an avid amateur photographer with an interest in low light photography and a serious cyclist, having cycled in Switzerland with the Swiss national team. He also loves skiing and plays badminton.

Jane was educated at Queen Ethelburga’s School, as was her mother, and her uncle attended Worksop College. She was Director of Development at Bootham School in Yorkshire for thirteen years, after a former career in the Civil Service, and has previously served as a school governor. Married to Hugh, Jane has an interest in Art and Crafts and current affairs.

Mark is CEO and founding partner of Carlton Forest Group LLP, a multi discipline organisation covering commercial property, logistics, added value processing, and the development of cleaner energy generation including the up-cycling of various waste streams. He is also an Old Worksopian. Mark is a board member on Doncaster Chamber of Commerce and his other interests include skiing, rugby union, and travelling; but mostly he enjoys spending time with his family.

Following a career in the UK and Hong Kong Police Forces, Malcolm joined Queen Mary’s Grammar School in the West Midlands, teaching Geography and Games. He moved from there to Trent College as Head of Geography, after which his teaching career ultimately took him to Malawi, Nigeria, China and Russia, retiring in 2020 as Principal of the English International School in Moscow.

As well as having interests in photography, travel, reading and gardening, Malcolm competed in the 2005 National Championships as an Indoor Concept II Rower and has successfully completed the London Marathon.

Nigel is an OW and a Chartered Surveyor. Following a career in the Parachute Regiment and then as Head of Land Management at Strutt & Parker, he is currently Rural Estates and Property Director for the Welbeck Estates Company, responsible for the management of the family owned rural estate.

Nigel is a keen long-distance runner, as well as a qualified scuba diver, skydiver, and mountain leader.

Rob studied Economics at Durham University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 2008, where he worked as a Senior Manager mainly within the Transaction Services department. He moved into industry in 2015 where he joined Europa Worldwide Group as Finance Director before joining Xpediator Plc in 2020, an AIM listed Freight and Logistics Management Specialists, where he was CFO and CEO. He is now a strategy and performance transformation partner at KPMG working with private equity backed businesses. 

Rob has two children attending the School and his interests include cricket, golf, hockey and country pursuits.

Matt is an Old Worksopian and then studied at both Lincoln University and Nottingham Trent University. He is an experienced project manager and is currently Head of Projects at the automation & materials handling company L B Foster in Nottingham, managing the operational performance of the Automation Division.

Outside work, Matt enjoys carpentry, middle distance running, restoring old engines and reading.

Sarah is the Director and Founder of Inclusion Insights Group, a people consultancy which builds on her 25 years of HR experienced gained from her 19 years of service in the Royal Air Force, and more recently through senior leadership and Board roles at HSBC, Home Office and Guy's and St Thomas'​ NHS Foundation Trust. A regular contributor to research and professional development, Sarah also plays a significant leadership role in the Chartered Management Institute as a Companion and at Regional Board level.

Recognised as a person with purpose and a leader who enables organisations to seize the benefits from equality, diversity and inclusion Sarah has been recognised and rewarded with numerous awards. In recent years she has achieved Corporate Straight Ally, London and South East Head of Diversity Award and an MBE for her services to Diversity and Inclusion in the Armed Forces.
