It was a tense morning, as 50 of our students took on the Senior Maths Challenge.
The challenge, which is run by UK Mathematics Trust, aims to stimulate mathematical problem-solving.
To recognise the highest performers in the Challenge the UK Mathematics Trust award the top-scoring 60% of participant’s bronze, silver and gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1.
In addition, they invite around 1,000 of the very highest performers to take part in the follow-on challenge, British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1 and around 6,600 to take part in the Senior Kangaroo.
