Sixth Form student, Joe Barnes led his team, Nottingham Rugby Academy to victory, when he was awarded captaincy, against a Brooksby Melton College and Leicester Tigers team.
Joe’s Dad, David said:
“Joe has been working hard through pre-season and was awarded captaincy, he is now looking forward to the upcoming fixtures.”
Joe currently trains once a week with Nottingham Academy, as well as training with the county team, which doesn't include training sessions for the school team.
Joe said:
“This season, I’m looking forward to the school season and hopefully reaching the Natwest Vase final in my final year.”
