Will students be given training on how to set up the laptop?

What happens if the device gets damaged or is faulty?

Unfortunately, accidents do happen and this is why the package includes 3 years Comprehensive Insurance and also 3 years HP Warranty. All claims can be requested online via our supplier or we can claim on your behalf. More details will be provided once the portal has been launched.

Do students need a new device?

Whilst this is not necessary we do recommend that it has a Microsoft operating system or can run Microsoft Office applications.

How often will students be using the device?

This will depend on the subject and be at the teacher’s discretion. Many subjects have an electronic textbook, set prep digitally, use Microsoft applications, share resources and use mobile technology to work collaboratively. Students are also expected to access their emails on a daily basis.

What about charging the device?

The HP ProBook X360 has a fantastic 7-hour battery life. It will be your child’s responsibility to ensure that their laptop is fully charged each day as there may be limited opportunity during lessons to charge their device.

Does the school have an Acceptable Use Policy?

Yes, it can be found on the school website www.wsnl.co.uk . Your child will also be asked to read and sign the document to say they understand it.
