Zoolab Workshop - Year 7 & 8

Established for over 20 years, Zoolab are the UK's number 1 animal handling experience company with a national network of rangers and an 'animal team' that are on hand to visit schools to bring people closer to nature, and stimulate an interest in science, nature and learning.

Zoolab workshops in schools are highly curriculum-driven, delivering educational experiences across all subjects and explaining the concepts of science in ways that children can see and touch, creating a fun, stimulating learning environment.

ZooLab are all about working with animals to amaze, educate, inspire – and reach defined goals. In everything they do, animals are at the centre of things.  Their rangers, live with and care for their animals at home: they are not items to be put away in a box, but are part of their lives.  The rangers want their animals to be part of other people's lives too.

This Biodiversity workshop talks of the variety of life on the planet. It informs about the difference in levels of biodiversity around the world and warns of the dangers to the balance of nature. It will explain the range of species concerning the ZooLab animals giving an idea as to how diverse these creatures really are.
