Further information and a full itinerary of the weekend will be sent out in the coming months, but please see a broad outline of the weekend, below. This will be helpful in order to plan your travel arrangements.
'Family Day'
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Worksop College. This day is an opportunity for you to meet teachers and House staff, as well as learn more about the school and what means to be the parent of a boarder. The day will conclude with dinner and drinks, after which you will return to the hotel. Your son or daughter will check into a Boarding House.
Pupil Orientation
This day is for pupils only. Your child will unpack and spend the day getting to know their teachers and fellow boarders. There will be activities and a chance to visit a local attraction. Your son or daughter will be joined by British boarders and will get ready for the start of term, which begins on Tuesday 5 September.
Tuesday 5 September 2023- Term begins
Our term formally starts on 5 September 2023. Your son or daughter will join their classmates and settle into life at Worksop College.
Accommodation during Welcome Weekend
We will arrange accommodation for you and your family, at a preferential rate - at The Crown Hotel Bawtry – a beautiful 4* Hotel & located just a few miles away.
Please note that we will arrange transport to and from the hotel for you and your family.
