One of the best moments from that trip was while we were walking back to the hotel in Rome one night after dinner. Dr Standen, one of my Classics teachers, and I were at the front of the group, simply talking and joking around. Before I knew it, the two of us were singing songs from the musical Cabaret together - just laughing, singing, and having a good time.

Later on the trip, while we were in Sorrento, I decided to get him a small gift - a simple thank-you for taking us on the trip and for all the time he had put into planning it. It’s moments like this that I’ll remember fondly for years to come.
