Leith’s is one of the world’s most prestigious cookery schools. This course is designed to teach the basic skills necessary to become a confident and efficient cook. Complete this course, and you will not only have gained a valuable skill for life, but could also have opened up possible areas of employment. You’ll gain confidence to cook by making judgments on the ingredients you purchase, the dishes and wines you put together for menu choices, and the methods you use to cook and serve food to achieve the best results.
You’ll design a set menu of dishes each week, going on to create these as part of a three-hour practical assessment.
During the course, you’ll also study for the CIEH Level 2 Food Safety in Catering Award.
This subject is for you: you enjoy all things culinary! You will have an aptitude for cooking, excellent time management, artistic flair and will enjoy fine food and fine wine.
This enrichment course provides excellent balance alongside academic studies, with the prospect of using your qualification to support future employment, whether self-employed, or in the food and leisure industry.
