Worksop Music Concert Series

Run by the College for music-lovers across the region, this concert series is a non-profit venture that provides beautiful and inspiring music at an accessible cost.

Attracting artists from the UK and beyond, these concerts also feature home-grown talent from the school’s pupils and staff.

This year we're trialling earlier start times for some concerts and a professional lunchtime concert to sit alongside the regular Friday lunchtime slot, so please check the start times of the concerts carefully!

This year’s programme continues the strong spirit of education married with quality and diversity. There will be much to marvel at, from the infectious energy of Baroque supergroup Red Priest to the astonishing ingenuity of Harry the Piano whose improv skills can't fail to impress.

Director of Music, Worksop College

Ngonidzashe Masiyakurima (Piano)

This concert features recent graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and current Graduate Music Assistant Ngonidzashe Masiyakurima.

The programme will include the first four of Chopin’s Polonaises, which reflect some of the social upheaval experienced by the Polish Nation at the time they were composed, and will conclude with the harmonically rich Impromptu in G Flat Major D899.3 by Schubert.

Our Graduate Assistant Programme began in 2012. Offered annually on a fixed term basis to recent university graduates, the purpose of our programme is to provide experience for talented individuals with an interest in pursuing a career in education.
