  • Epworth Equestrian Centre Show Jumping Competition

    A huge well done to the riders who represented Worksop College and Ranby House at the Epworth Equestrian Centre show jumping competition! They had a great time with some amazing results. The competition was a County Qualifier, and we are please to say that all teams from 70cm - 1m have qualified for Hickstead in May next year - a fabulous achievement.

  • International Week 2022

    The first week in November means one thing - International Week! This week celebrates the rich culture within our school, and is organised by the International Committee. We have had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of food - from paella to bratwurst. To mark the occasion, during assembly, Year 11 pupils Kosi and Nicki, shared their experience as international students at Worksop College.

  • BHM - Injured Fox

    As Black History Month drew to a close, we wanted to round-up the celebrations and commemorations with a showcase of our student's work. Art work, poetry, musical performances, history projects - a whole host of wonderful pieces to reflect the event. We were especially blown away by Kosisochukwu's, Year 11, creative writing. It cleverly and beautifully draws comparisons between the continent of Africa and an injured fox.

  • Welcoming Mr Sugiyama

    For those of you who have been in the Worksop College and Ranby House community for some time, you may recognise Mr Sugiyama - although he may have lost the school uniform and gained some facial hair! Mr Sugiyama is an Old Worksopian, from 2013-2018, and has come back to the college as a graduate assistant.

    Another morning of celebrations at Worksop College as students celebrate their well-deserved exam results. Following the return to normality, this set of students have been the first group of GCSE students to physically sit their exams since the beginning of the pandemic. This morning, the wait was finally over for students who have been so eagerly anticipating their results, and Worksop College pupils have achieved another remarkable crop of results. As a broad-ability non-selective school, one whose focus is firmly on individual progress, their impressive results are quite the accomplishment.

  • Mental health in Hamlet - Clarissa, Year 9

    During mental and mindfulness health week, the school ran several events and sessions. Subject departments and teachers set certain tasks and assignments in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Week. Clarissa, Year 9, was set the assignment of producing an analysis on ‘Mental health in Hamlet’. "There were many aspects I found thoroughly fascinating in the process of researching for this essay, from the various diagnosable mental health disorders, key symptoms of these disorders, and the overall application of these criteria to the entire play ‘Hamlet’ by William Shakespeare". Swimming at Worksop College provides opportunities through access to training camps, competitions, training with professional coaches, and comradery.
