We are incredibly proud of two of our Sixth Form pupils who qualified for the prestigious Oxford Schools’ Union Debates Finals Day. The largest parliamentary debating competition in the world for u18's. ✨
Top performing schools from UK, Ireland and international regional rounds were invited to participate at Finals Day at Cherwell College, and a number of University of Oxford colleges, to compete among the very best. 🎓🏛️
Thomas and Elis went on to secure a finish amongst the top 50% of teams, against highly experienced international debaters—an outstanding result at such an elite level.
From tackling complex global topics to refining arguments under pressure, the day showcased not only their academic ability, but their resilience, adaptability, and ambition. They also had the opportunity to engage with students from across the world, making this a truly enriching experience. 🌍
