For those of you who have been in the Worksop College and Ranby House community for some time, you may recognise Mr Sugiyama - although he may have lost the school uniform and gained some facial hair! Mr Sugiyama is an Old Worksopian, from 2013-2018, and has come back to the college as a graduate assistant.
With everything from Formula Woman finalists to front page photographers; Mathematicians to Marine Biologists - Worksop College sees another set of A-level students achieving their goals this results’ day.
Talented Worksop College students have been making waves with their swimming efforts, dedicating early mornings and weekends to perfecting their skills. Swimming at Worksop College provides opportunities through access to training camps, competitions, training with professional coaches, and comradery. It's no secret that these swimmers have invested a huge amount of hard work into their training, so it is a fitting reward to see so many PBs and accomplishments.
Last weekend, Year 10 students dusted off their hiking boots and gathered their camping supplies in a bid to complete their Silver DofE qualifier.
The Y13 girls enjoyed an academic trip to the Little Brunette Bakery in Southwell, designed and run by Amelia and Jessica Wells, who are both Old Worksopians. Amelia gave our students a tour of the bakery, and explained how the food safety is managed from deliveries and storage to preparation, cooking and serving.
St Cuthbert's Way is a 100km cross-border route, linking the English and Scottish boarders. This is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable long distance routes in Britain. With this in mind, a dedicated group of staff and students from Worksop College decided to take on this glorious route.

The MT13 hockey camp proved to be a big hit with nearly 50 young players who at times braved some pretty challenging weather, rain, hail, wind sleet but which did not dent their enthusiasm and fortunately there were some lovely sunny periods.
As part of the co-curricular programme at Worksop College, a group of dedicated students have been heading down to Manton Garden, with the aim of creating a beautiful community garden.

This week our Hockey team competed in the England Hockey Schools Championships, playing Altrincham school in a very close game.
Worksop College and Ranby House's swimming results continued to soar as our swimmers took to the Nottinghamshire County Championships.
There was a tense atmosphere in the Chemistry Lecture Theatre as our Sixth Form scientists went head-to-head in the Science Lecture Competition Final.

As the England Women's football team come fresh from celebrating their world cup qualifying 20-0 win against Latvia, we are getting ready to develop the next crop of female sporting superstars – all under the tutelage of England Lioness and Man City's Jill Scott MBE.
