Teacher of Maths, Mr. Tattersall will swim in the Irish Sea to raise money for Breast Cancer Now

On New Year’s Day, Maths teacher Mr. Graham Tattersall will be jumping into the icy cold Irish Sea to swim and raise money for the charity, ‘Breast Cancer Now’.

The event called the 'Portpatrick Loony Dook', will see Graham taking a swim in the freezing cold water with 20 other people.

Mr. Tattersall said:

“This is a charity particularly close to my heart, as my mother was diagnosed back in 1987 and survived, in an era where surviving was not common.”

To find out more about Graham’s worthy cause, or to make a donation, you can visit his JustGiving page here.

Graham continued;

“I was humbled by the generosity last year when I managed to raise nearly £500 for the charity MND Scotland by taking part in the same event. This will be my third consecutive year taking part in this local event.”
