The first thing Transport Coordinator, Bill Chapman noticed when he joined Worksop College and Ranby House, 11 months ago were the polite students, as they were his first point of contact.
I moved up to this area whilst working for Royal Mail in the HR department in 2001.
I took voluntary redundancy after working on an £88m project changing the computer system. I was a Data Collections Manager on that project travelling the country giving seminars and delivering training, amongst other things.
I then semi-retired and drove HGVs for a local company until I was successful in getting a position here.
The teachers and other staff members are always helpful, and this seems to be the norm around the whole of the school. The admin staff are also friendly and will help you out should the need arise.
My Line Manager moved to another department and I volunteered to help out in the office. I am now the Transport Co-ordinator for the College and Ranby and I’m really enjoying the role. This shows that the College encourages development of employees and will promote from within.
I am really enjoying working for Worksop College and Ranby House and long may it continue.
