Life at Senior School – Discovery Morning

Our Year 10 History students have been busy working in groups on five original Great War photographs and five Great War artefacts, which were brought in by our very own Head of Sixth Form, Mr. Nick Kitchen, from his personal collection.
Old Worksopian, Tom Sorsby has recently returned from Malaysia, after playing for Great Britain U21’s Hockey team in the Sultan of Johor Cup.
It was a tense morning, as 50 of our students took on the Senior Maths Challenge.
On Friday 3 November, we welcomed 70 young players to our one-day hockey camp.

This week, Worksop College welcomed the Pursuit of Knowledge – a two-day event of workshops, discussion groups, and projects centred on the concept of philosophy.
On Friday 13 October our u13 and u15 rugby teams went on tour to the Isle of Man.
Last week we welcomed two special coaches to the college, Barry Eaton and Michael Cusack.
Nutrition for sporting performance, as well as academic abilities, is extremely important. Resident Graduate Assistant, George King recently completed a Masters in Sports Science and is a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
The last couple of years have been busy for Year 11 student Ruby Bak, and she shows no signs of slowing down, as she takes on the lead role of Eliza Doolittle in Worksop College’s production of ‘My Fair Lady.’
The rain didn’t dampen the spirits of our Yr 7 and 8 Portlanders yesterday, as they undertook the Portland run.
