The Worksop College golf team have qualified for the LSGA Schools National Final at the Royal St George’s Golf Club from 23 to 26 April.
This is a superb achievement from our team of 3 Year 11 golfers who have defeated Scarborough, Hymers and RGS Newcastle en route to the final.
The team is led by captain Eddie Turner-Bennett who is now undefeated in three years of playing number one for the College. He is ably supported by Ryan Wright and Harry Beckwith who both represent Notts at U16 level. The team is coached by Notts U18 professional James Thompson and use the state-of-the-art TrackMan radar system (exclusive to Worksop College).
Furthermore, supported by Josh Froggart, William Hill, Joe Turner-Bennett and Toby Edwards, the team is also in the regional final of the HMC foursomes tournament.
