An Afternoon in Roman Lincoln

Worksop College Classics and Latin students from Lower Sixth and Yr11 attended an afternoon workshop at the University of Lincoln on Tuesday 20 June.

They also had the opportunity to examine Roman inscriptions close-up in the University’s labs, and go to a lecture given by one of the world’s leading Roman scholar’s, Dr Roger Tomlin of Oxford University.

Dr Adam Gutteridge, Head of Religious Studies & PSHE said:

“The day gave everyone a real insight into university-level research and teaching, and allowed our students to witness how brand new approaches to the classical world are increasing our understanding of both past and present.”
