The 1st XV have started the season in impressive form, winning 7 from 7 and taking the notable scalps of Hymers College and Nottingham High School.
This weekend saw another impressive performance over the Nottingham High School, winning 52-12. A crowd of supporting parents, pupils and some notable OW's, (Billy Root being one) witnessed a clinical display and some entertaining rugby.
Director of Rugby Richard Baker said
“It is pleasing that the team has come together so well this year, many of the boys have not recorded a win against the (Nottingham) High School throughout year group rugby, which makes the performance and the result all the more satisfying”
He added
“The boys have had played a lot of rugby over a short period of time, and we now have the opportunity to go back to improving some technical aspects before we travel away to Trent College on Saturday 7 October.”
