Wind, rain, mud, hilarity and tears; St. Cuthbert's Way run 2017

This weekend, 14 members of the Worksop College and Ranby House community ran the St. Cuthbert’s Way in support of Bluebell Wood.

The group started bright and early Saturday morning at Melrose Abbey, before taking in the breath-taking views and beautiful scenery along the way.

At the end of day one, the team, which consisted of: ten students and four staff members, had completed an impressive 28 miles.

Despite the sore legs, wind and rain, the group finished the 45 mile run on Sunday afternoon.

Head of Outdoor Education, Mr Will Robinson said:

“There was plenty of mud, along with lots of hilarity and tears: we had fantastic support from parents and staff. The run is now a firm favourite in the College calendar – but training is recommended!”

The team have so far raised just over £700 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
